"Early Summer" Poetry by Lee In the early summer morning, So quiet without a breeze, I walked calmly through the meadows, And among the shady trees. My kids are late in sleeping, Their friends still hanging out, I may lack the worldly treasures, But my kids, I'm not without. So Many times I wondered, Was I a Father, Good enough, But they always come to see me, And so seldom do we fuss I have never overspent on a woman, For I had, not much to give, But if I could, find my perfect Love, My ^Ä^ngel, Would be reason that I Live. Love is not a Jukebox, One quarter, for each rhyme sung, True Love is never over, Until the Last Sunset, is done. So lift your Heart, & enjoy the view, God has not finished yet, He reserves His greatest treasures, And for the Last, He Saves His Best.
