"Spring Vacation" poetry by Lee Spring break was just fine, this special time of year, We drove to Alabama, to give our friends some cheer. Tornadoes to the east, Rain Storms were toward the west, But this was our vacation, The one to be the best. We travelled on, to Ruby Falls, to see what’s in a cave, ‘Twas a water fall, Inside a mountain, enough to make you rave. On top of this great mountain, Rock City was where we run, The view was so tremendous, & my boys were having fun. Evening time was getting closer, It was time to get some rest, The Cherokee Indian reservation, was where we went to next. Attractions were out of season, so to sleep we went that night, And Early in the morning, the ground was covered white. My Florida boys, enjoyed their play, in one big foot of snow, Before it grew to three foot, it was time for us to go. Then back to home we went again, with dreams of rocks & gems, No trip would ever measure up, to the tour we had back then.
