"Reading Lesson" poetry by Lee It was a very long time ago, Since my Brother learned to read, Computers were not available, So mom helped him to precede. He hesitated on “Honey,” Son, I’ve got a hint, my little friend, What does Mommy Call Daddy? His Answer “A Horses’s End.” My brother learned another word, And mom has learned a lesson, The miracle of a child’s honesty, Is a gift, and precious blessing. Words around the house were tossed, More cheerfully with care, In hopes that my big brother, Would not repeat the words they dare. Mom was so much sweeter, When us children were at home, But watch out Dad, For the time, When Her opinion will be known.
