Our first little walk, as we traveled togather, My finger, was all you needed to grasp, Each new day, was a splendid adventure, With so many, little questions, to ask. The Toys were scattered, all through the house, As you put them all back, one by one, And so many hours, we told of our stories, Our begining years, were so very much fun. The first time I watched you, brushing your hair, As you put the makeup upon your face, It was Pretty good, for the first time, With little red marks, all over the place. And now you’ve become, a lovely grown woman, As we visit, from miles apart, We have gone weary, from time, & endless work, God Bless, your Pea-Pickin,-little heart. But time has become, a long endless journey, Until you experience a little one, all of your own, And There you will discover, my greatest joy, The treasure of Love, we always have known.
