"A Friend" poetry by Lee midi by Lee I find myself so lost, in the world of desolation, Silence all around me, as I sit in isolation. Little distant sounds, of cars across the town, And listening to the ceiling fan, slowly going round. January 24th, this warm and sunny day, Winter must have vanished, and summer came to stay. In the distance of the forest, the breeze blows gently by, The only form of company, is one pesty little fly. For Somewhere in this Forest, I hope to find a friend, Who will stay with me, And Love me, until the very end. But Our Lord has told no secrets, the mystery yet unknown, Of when my time will come, for a friend, all of my own.
