"Spring Cleaning in Heaven" poetry by Lee I heard the Angels cleaning closets, This early Wednesday Morn, Baseball bats, and Bowling balls, I even thought I heard a Horn. They were busy in the Heavens, With so very much to do, I guess they washed the Rainbows, And they did their Laundry too. I felt the showers fall on Earth, So gently, from the sky, But I was on the motorcycle, Shaking my Head, Oh My! I got just a little soggy, As I rode my bike to work. But I’m washably soak resistant, So it really didn't hurt. The Sun is hiding behind the clouds, And won’t come out to Peek, I wonder why it’s so quite Now, Did the Angels fall asleep? I’ve just got a few little bills to pay, And a friend I want to Phone, I wish she’d invite me over, To talk to her at Home. The Sun has already fallen, And it’s getting so dark outside, It’s time to snuggle under covers, And to rest my weary eyes. I would surely like to fall in Love, And share my life with her, And laugh & play just one more time, Before my life becomes a blur, For God is waiting in Heaven, In Twenty years, my time may come, I would be so sad, without Dianna, If we missed out on the fun.
