Silent Sermon

A fellow has not been to Church in a while,
He did'nt feel like comming in,
His minister came to visit,
To see how the old man's been.
It was a cold, & windy evening,
The fireplace was going strong,
The old man pulled up a chair for him,
I'm sure glad you came along.
They just gazed into the fireplace,
In Silence, as the fire warmed their face,
The minister moved a brightly amber coal,
Unto a lonely place.
The coal soon lost, it's magical glow,
Before long, it turned so cold,
All was lost, as in the dark of night,
While standing there all alone.
Time has passed so quickly.
And before long, the minister had to go,
But before he went, to the cold outdoors,
To the fire, he returned that coal,
It's glow resumed a fine brilliance of light,
So full of life, divine,
And now a hug, before I Go,
So many chores are on my mind.
As the minister reached the doorway,
A tear runs from the old man's cheek,
Thank you preacher, for the Fiery Sermon,
I will see you at Church next week.
