"Gifts of Nature" Poetry by Lee "Gifts of Nature" I love to lay upon a sandy spot, & watch the Heavens up above, The stars shine so brightly, as my friends, overflow my cup with love. The clouds drifting past the moon so high, as to brush her tears away, As I watch the cloudy restless sky , For Heaven's not too far away. I hear the little critters, each singing their favorite song, As we watch the redish, sunset sky, until its nearly gone. A seagull drifts upon the golden horizon, with calm & Peaceful ease I would love to view, the pretty sites, as I wonder what she sees. A chipmunk, scurries up a tree, to share his little nut, Misses Chipmunk, waits so patiently, as she sees him comming up. A coyote sits on a hill top, serenading his lonely tune, I'm sure that he's awaiting, While his friend, should be there soon. And Our Lord bestowed these gifts of nature, of treasures so divine, He only asks, We love our God, & neighbors, Until the end of time.
