Dallas Goes to Heaven

*Dallas Goes to Heaven *
Poetry by Lee

It was a peaceful day, In Middleburg,
While my neighbors went next door,
They had a little time to chat,
And were finished with their chores.
Mom said to Dallas, stay away from them old dogs,
The ones on chains, around the back,
They're not nice, like your puppy,
They could be mean, & may attack,
Well, Little girls, love friendly critters,
And Dallas ran around the back,
And here is this little story,
Of where Dallas, Now is at.
* * * * *
The Angels came to get me Mom,
But I didn't Want to Go.
The Doggie gave me so many bites,
More Than I'll ever Know.
There is Nice Doggies in Heaven,
And the Angels, take me out to Play.
And Just so I don't Cry again,
They hold me every Day.
Tell My Brothers & Sisters, I Love them,
And Hug My Puppy too,
Now that I have my Angel Wings,
I do what the Angels do.
So if you see a little Flicker, in the Sky,
It May not be so bright.
They Gave me a little Candle, Just my size,
To watch over You & Daddy at Night.

In memory of my little neighbor, Dallas
Age, 20 months
