Easter Sunday

Picture from Owls Roost

Poetry by Lee

Easter Sunday

There was an empty silence,
On Easter Morning, where I camped,
I laid there wondering restlessly,
Of where my little friends were at,
I later asked the Wise Old Owl,
What happened to everyone?
He Said "We were remembering, Jesus,
The resurrection of God's Son."
Don't you remember?
That he died for all you guys?
Then three days later,
He, arose into the skies.
He sent us little animals,
To remind you of these things.
And to show you, of so many,
Of the blessings that he brings.
I'm just a critter of the forest,
Trying to do my best,
In hopes that you'll be ready,
When it's time to take the test.
Life was made, to love your neighbor,
And be guided by the light,
So that God will welcome, open arms,
When you're finished in this life.
