Scarlett Rose Scarlett Rose Poetry by Lee Music by Lee I planned a trip to visit, to see my Scarlett Rose, Searching for the truest love, before I get too old. I rode upon my motorcycle, cruising to Tennessee, Taking a midnight ride, in the cooling nightly breeze. Along Atlanta’s I -75, I was Rushing through the town, Over 75 miles an hour, before they run me down. Breezing under the bridges, challenging my trusty skills, Hoping to make each corner, before they get me killed. I felt, I was in a video game, with the dangerous curves, I saw. Only hoping to make each corner, before hitting that awful wall. I was told about them Georgia Laws, they would never let you by, But to travel any faster, It would take some wings to fly. I finally passed the borders, as i approached the wilderness, And I thank Our Lord so kindly, with His safety, that He blessed. The Dawn gave way to the Morning Sunrise, as I ended my lengthy trail, And I Thank Our Dearest Lord, that the trip has gone so well.
