Artist Unknown Poetry by Lee Misty Morning My computer was made in Mexico, And my motorcycle is from Japan, I talk on my Chinese phone sometimes, But there's something I don't understand. Where's the good jobs of America, Except with the minimum wage, For a fellow may flouish, from poverty, Before he ever achives old age. But my best friend was made in America, So charmingly country sweet, We talk a lot on the internet, She's a treasure you just can't beat. I Fell for a friend from Vietnam, But it didn't last too long, She planned every dime, I ever had, But she sang such a pretty song, There ain't nothing like America, Where the flowers bloom in the spring, And nothing as sweet as that little tune, Hearing those little birdies sing. I Love my best friend from America, Cultured with home grown pride, I love the little words, she says to me, My friend in whom I confide. I wrote her about the misty morning, And the pictures, I tried to take, My Chinese camera, saw only the fog, And the sunshine just would not wake. But I planted my feet in America, That's where I was born and raised, My love still stands in America, The home of the strong and the Brave. If my friend could come to Middleburg, Or me to her Riverview Land, My Heart would be aloft in Heaven, And Forever my Love would stand. My Heavenly Father made plans for me, He never told me what they were, My life is full of confusion, And my future is just a blur. My Lord is watching from Heaven, Where Someday, I hope to be, But I have my Earthly tasks to do, Before The Lord will let me Leave. May we share our Friendship together, As we are walking, Hand in Hand, May we meet Our Lord, at the pearly gates, Of the heavenly, distant Land.
