Hiding in Disguise Poetry by Lee I needed a little something, So I drove out to the Mall, A couple things I needed, They were really, kinda small. But then come time, to find my car, Where ever could it be? The parking lot, was like a desert, As endless as the deep blue sea. I said my prayers, to The Lord in Heaven, To give me some relief, I walked until my heart was pounding, And tired, were my feet. He sent a guardian angel, In a beat up, Rusty Truck He saw, I was bewildered, And He thought I walked enough. We rode around the parking lot, As His questions calmed my fears, Us old people, are so vunerable, And It had me almost down in tears. When we stopped, to the car I Drive, I could not believe my eyes, It could have had on, tiger stripes, T'was hiding in disguise. My key fit in the ignition, As my worries were all in Vain, And this angel never told me, So I will never, know his name.
