"My Best Friend June" Poetry by Lee It was a warm and sunny afternoon, Three years from the day we met, I was talking, to my best friend, June, while playing on the internet. She never liked them motorcycles, Then one day, I bought a truck, She invited me to come over, That was the day, that I took her up. A month went by, for I was sick, Until we had our meeting, Her little smile, and sometimes chuckle, Put my heart to beating. She reminds me, we are just friends, And what a friend I see, I felt excited, like a little squirrel, Jumping from tree to tree. Her little smile, turns me on, Like a light bulb in the dark, And what a jolt, I get from her, You can even see the sparks. Today she wants me to get a haircut, And trim on my mustache, Soon i will be running, from the women, For as long as i can last. Mom will notice something different, Of a strange and new endeavor, She's turned a boy, into a man, And Mom's blessing will last forever. Love ....
