"Happy Thanksgiving" Poetry by Lee Our Lord has drawn the curtain, On this day so nearly gone, As little critters join in tune, And dogs all bark along. Thanksgiving is the joyous feast, As we are sharing with our friends, Where we are mending, of our bridges, And making of amends. Kitty is in the kitchen, Watching all that I must cook, And if i give her, not enough, She has that dirty look. Tom Kitty wasnt far, Living outside the door, But a friend really loved him, In his look, she just adored. So everyone is happy, As we snuggle for the night, And soon I'll visit relatives, By the early morning Light. God gives us so very much, We do not mention, in our prayers, But He also gives us Rain & Sunshine, So we know, Our God still cares.
