Samantha has been an entrepreneur from an early age, owning and operating her own craft and gift business, Samantha's Special Stuff from the time she was 11 until she graduated from high school at age 17.

She began dancing in 1998 at age 16 at the invitation of a friend. She caught on quickly, although her class was already in its 6th week, and was soon traveling to other states for special dances and conventions.

Samantha began to pursue calling as a career in 2001 and was soon accepted into the Memphis Caller's Workshop . In 2002, she was the recipient of the caller's college scholarship provided by Grand Square Inc. and graduated from Silver State Caller's College conducted by Doug Davis, Bengt Geleff and Nasser Shukayr later that same year.

She calls frequently in Memphis and the surrounding areas at established square dance clubs and performs at birthday and retirement parties as well as school and church events.

Samantha has always been very interested and excited about everything that square dancing encompasses and it is her goal to provide enjoyment for dancers as well as educating non-dancers in the history and heritage of our activity. She feels it is a privilege to bring the happiness of square dancing to as many people as possible and conducts many new dancer sessions for all ages as well as special programs for schools, churches, civic organizations and individuals throughout the community.

In May of 2005, Samantha married the love of her life, Tracy Booker and together they enjoy traveling to many different areas for conventions and special dances along with their daughter, Lorelai who was born in 2008.

Samantha has had the opportunity to call in several states and at four National Square Dance Conventions.

Through dancing, Samantha has met some of her dearest friends (and her husband!) and calls " For the Love of the Dance".
