Ah-ho to the mighty Six Nations People:

Considering this is last minute planning, the best option is Direct Action, i.e. , spontaneous demonstrations and/or spontaneous disruptions of sessions or opening ceremonies.

Many possibilities!

Any restrictions for obtaining last minute rally permits in NYC? Permit or no permit--you can still do it! Matter of fact no permit is better, more effective due to the element of surprise.

UNFURL A HUGE BANNER (TEN STORIES HIGH---"SAVE ROTINO'SHON:NI/IROQUOIS HOMELANDS!!") ON ONE OF THE BUILDINGS NEAR THE UN?

In 1994 I was at demo where we at IFG International Forum on Globalization put up a 10 story high banner on NYC 5th Avenue --"TO HELL WITH SHELL" on the corporate office of Shell ---which snarled NY traffic & attracted over 100 NY policemen to cordon the building. Ralph Nader and Vandana Shiva among others were with us. IT was awesome!

Direct Action Rally with maximum of independent ALL media coverage. Maximum media for protection and effect.

Get on the radio A.S.A.P. to gather support. Call the Raging Grannies for assistance. Very savvy and influential older women with money to pay lawyers who know what they are doing and NOT afraid of arrest or anything.

Your best demonstrators would be Elders and young students. The younger the better. The older the better. Potent combination.

Force the Caledonia agenda by sending DAILY demonstrators preferably ---young loud, Indian demonstrators and senior citizens & Elders with HUGE placards. Must be prepared to be harassed by police or be jailed.

ASK the indigenous opening perfomers to help you---right there at the opening. Even if only ONE performer decides to help you by boycotting his/her performance and instead SAYING SOMETHING supporting the Mohawk OR PUTTING UP A PLACARD re the Six Nations situation--it is some attention.

ASK ANGELINA JOLIE FOR HELP!!

ASK GEORGE CLOONEY or MARTIN SHEEN!! or DANNY GLOVER!

ASK RITA MORENO. PERHAPS YOU CAN PIGGYBACK THE PUERTO RICAN BANKRUPTCY TOGETHER WITH MOHAWK LAND ISSUES? WHY NOT?

ASK HARRY BELAFONTE!!

The mighty Six Nations were the very first INDIANS to demand attention from the UN. IT is fitting for them to demand the same in 2006.
