He was a member of the First Christian Church, Frederick, and was a retired dairy farmer. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are seven daughters: Mrs. Charlotte Robbins of Monticello, Ark., Mrs. Patsy Luhn of Frederick, Mrs. Helen Hildebrand, of Middletown, Mrs. Pearl WoIfe of Harpers Ferry, W. Va., Mrs. BeuIah Bidle of Middletown, Mrs. Sandra Gowen of Frederick, and Mrs. Hope Lewis, Myersville; four sons: Stanley Spade of Houston, Texas, John Spade of Ozark, Ala., Harry Spade of Jefferson, and Perry Spade, Camp Le Jeune, N.C.; and 24 grandchidren.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, at the Gladhill Funeral Home in Middletown. The family will meet friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25 at the funeral home. Rev. John W. Klages will officiate. Interment will be in Little Rose Hill Cemetery, Clear Spring.
