**Please send a photo of him in uniform.** Gary was born in Hancock, MD and was married to a Spade family descendant who is the daughter of Leroy Franklin & Dorothy Suella Corbett of Hancock, MD. He served our country in the United States Army in the 1950s and was a veteran of the Korean War. One of his tours of duty was in Yokohama, Japan. He was a member of Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion, where he served as commander from 1979 to 1980 and 1991 to 1992, B.P.O. Elks Lodge 378. Gary had a vision about how the Legion should be active in the community. When Gary was commander the first time, the scholarship fund was started, the color guard was organized and they started the youth appreciation night.
