Spade, Harry William
(1936 - 1994) 
 
Harry served our country in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of the elite Honor Guard for President Dwight David "Ike" Eisenhower. According to his brother, John, Harry fell out of his high chair when he was a baby and broke his nose. It healed, but not well, and after he went into the Marine Corps, he had it fixed. While in the Marines, he earned the assignment of serving in President Eisenhower's Honor Guard. President Eisenhower was in office during 1952 to 1960. During this period, Harry also became “Ike's” cook at Camp David.
