Spade, Marion Harry
(1923 - 1995)

Harry Spade served our country in the United States Army during WWII. He was wounded in Germany, sent to England to recover, and was about to be sent back to the lines when the war ended. He was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star by a grateful nation, as well as a World War II Victory Medal, WWII Occupation Medal, American Campaign Medal and a Good Conduct Medal.

He preferred to go by M. Harry Spade. During the summer, presumably when he was a young man, he stayed on his cousin Warren Spade's farm where he helped out.” In his father's obituary on July 13, 1943, he was said to be living in Crystal Spring, Pennsylvania at that time.
