Robert served our country in the United States Army for 3 years after he graduated from Niagara High School in 1959. One of his assignments was in Germany. Robert was the son of Jacob Gates & Mabel Irene (Genrich) Spade. He was the grandson of Christopher Harrison Spade, great-grandson of Jacob Frederick Spade and gr-gr-grandson of Anton and Rosina Dorothea (Wolf) Späth / Spade.
