Rhea and lab assistant Ashley are on their way to the Amazon by plane. When Rhea arrives she is disappointed by the shabby huts and then is relieved to discover her old friend and mentor Jon is going to be working with her. Seeking a plant they believe may be the cure for cancer they are planning to find and research the plant's properties. Soon after they arrive Rhea sees a handsome male that is her dream of a perfect male, large, dark, and handsome with warm chocolate eyes. He disappears and she later learns Ashley had seen the man, but he had been blonde with blue eyes. One of the natives informs them that he is the Guardian of the Stairway to Heaven and that only a chosen few are allowed to see him.
The reason she has seen the Guardian Rhea discoverers is because he has chosen her for his mate. As she only sees him in her dreams Rhea doesn't believe any of it is true. She is a logical person and Guardian's didn't exist. Ashley can no longer remember seeing him upon arrival, so it has to be a dream right? Still, a part of her wants it to be real.
This is a fast read, the storyline is original and shows great imagination by the author. The sex is HOT, and the well written characters are comfortable with their roles.. Stairway to Heaven is a pleasure to read. Ms Leigh is to be congratulated on a well-written, imaginative, romantic tale.
