Starlight Performs Live on Ron Anthony's LiveVariety Show, broadcast worldwide via the Internet and radio!
It was an amazing event that saw Starlight's team, One 2 Eight, led by Diamond 44, shine at their absolute best. There is no doubt that the standard of competition was world class. Teeley's Team put on an incredible performance and the judging was going to be close. The pressure facing the team was enormous, and Starlight was showing a few nerves as she waited to perform. She sang 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' for the first of her two songs, and the feedback in the room text and private messages overwhelmed us. We wondered if our fragile computer would withstand the onslaught of messages of congratulations. The scores for the first round: 138 vs 130.5 in favour of Starlight's team, One 2 Eight. This left a 7.5 mere point difference, and there was no doubt that it was going to come down to the wire. The second round was even better than the first. All the performers brought forward something from deep inside their hearts. Ron Anthony's Paltalk room filled to a capacity crowd of 200 people, and the comments in the text box demonstrated their enthusiasm - in fact - the room suffered from serious lag because of the text generated! Starlight performed an original song, 'Forever's Moondance'. This song was best summed up by Ron Anthony himself: "RonAnthonyRadio: The Cream Of the Crop ;-))" However, Ron Anthony and the Judges held us all on the edge of our chairs as we waited for the scoring to be announced for the second round. Time stretched out until the minutes became unbearable. The audience in the room was posting text messages faster than the paltalk server could cope with them. Then, finally, Ron Anthony announced the final scores. The points for the second round: 140 vs 134 in favour of Starlight's team. The total Final score was: One 2 Eight: 278 Teeley's Team: 264.5 Team One 2 Eight will now move on to the next round. Details will be posted here when they're confirmed.
