FOR THE LONELY
When you stretch out your arm, and no-one is there
When your fingers grasp only the presence of air
When you yearn for the touch of someone to care
Remember the one who is everywhere
Never seeing His face, yet He nevertheless
Stands beside you whenever you're feeling distress
His name is one that you don't need to guess
Nor need you wonder about His address
Just call out His name, in order to get Him
He cares for the lonely if only you'll let Him
Do this, and I promise you'll never forget Him
For He's done things for me since the day I first met Him
If you need ask the name of the one who will free us
The one we can't see, but the one who can see us
Who came down to Earth, sent from Heaven to be us
His second name's Christ, and His first name is Jesus
