Amy is the typical All-American girl. Being 5'7" allows for the many possibilities of her size of a medium build. She has medium length brown hair which she is constantly adding red color to! With her fair skin, the constant arrival of freckles is always expected. Today she is dressed in a pair of jean shorts and a green tank top.
"Hey! I'm Amy and I live in Wilmington, Delaware. I just turned eighteen so I'm still getting used to the freedom! In the fall, I will be attending Mt. St. Mary’s College in Maryland. Being that I've never left the East Coast, it was safer to stay local!
“I am the typical American girl! I am the oldest of four children so that adds a lot of pressure. My parents both work full time so I'm left with the responsibility of taking care of the siblings. Now, don't get me wrong, I love them to death, but it gets to be the biggest hassle. So much so that I often refuse to deal with them, but then I am forced to by the 'rents. That’s life!
“I'm not the type of girl you will find out and about at night. Well, I mean, I'm out, but in. Make sense? I love to spend time with my friends inside! We rent movies, play board games, and drink milkshakes. We even rented a moon bounce for a birthday party once! You just haven't lived until you've piled 10 people in a space open for 5.
“For a living, I work at my church. I answer phones, open doors, and then watch some TV. During the summer, however, I work at my church’s preschool. The little kids are great and always brighten up my mood after a long day. Who knows if I could make it through a summer without the pictures that they draw me?!
“Yes, I am a church girl! My family used to joke about me becoming a nun when I was older. You see, I'm Catholic, and in the past few years I've become a pretty devout one. I have taken on numerous assignments throughout the church, including being a youth group leader. It was hard at first because I'm the same age as a lot of them, but they respect me once they see how much I've dealt with.
“You see, when I was six years old, I was sexually abused by a relative. I was too young to realize what was going on...or that it was bad so it took me a while to come out with it. After I told my parents, it happened again with a different relative. This time I was smarter and fought against it. I've managed to push it behind me, but there are still times when it haunts me. For example, when it comes to boys. It’s hard for me to get into a serious relationship because I'm worried about getting hurt.
“I've dealt with a lot of other things, just in these past years especially, but I'm not going to be the one to bring the moral down. I'm a really energetic and outgoing person and I always try to be right of the bat. I'll admit I have the biggest crush on Heath Ledger...complete with posters adorning my walls. But, Heath is complimented by the posters of the Backstreet Boys. Am I a teenybopper or what?
