Caroline joined Hole after Courtney spotted her at a show and asked her to join. "I met Courtney at a Guar/L7 show. I was watching Dee, the drummer from L7, and kind of making notes. Courtney saw this and came up to me and said, 'Do you play drums?' and I was like, 'Oh, very perceptive of you, yes I do.' I thought she was pretty bold, so I was impressed." It is not well known as to why Caroline left Hole, but it has been rumoured that Courtney kicked her out of the band for not keeping time and other reasons.
