Sol B Fire Giant Raid Guide

This is probably everyone's first exposure to a full blown, multi-group raid. This requires a minimum of 3 groups to be done safely and effectively. You should try to have balanced groups. All the characters should be level 40 minimum. You will want your tanks to be at least level 42 and at least one cleric over 49th level. I have broken this raid down into steps. Follow these steps and you will probably have a successful raid.

#1 The Gathering
Requirements:
2 Clerics ( One 49 up Preferred )
1 Monk (Level 45 Up)
3 Tanks(Preferred 5 Tanks)
6 Healers (The 2 clerics from above included in this number)
1 Enchanter
1 Shaman

After assembling and dividing into groups at the druid circle in Lavastorm, you will lead the groups to the second Bat Room in Sol B. General rule of thumb is Raid leader uses OOC and the Puller uses Shout.

#2 The Run In
After reassembling in the second bat room, you can have the monk begin to pull everything on the way to the Stone Spider room. Make sure everyone knows who to assist and they have a hot key set up for it. This shouldn't take to long to do with 3 groups. Move Up as each section is cleared. Don't worry about Randoming Nox, Death Beetle, or Guano Harvester Drops Until after you clear the Stone Spider Room. Once you are Set-up in the Stone Spider room you can take your time to med, buff, and random. Move everyone to the top of the ramp.

#3 The Charge
Have everyone buff up and ready to charge. Have the Monk attempt to split the Fire Giants in the First room. If he cannot split them have everyone charge in immediately.

Two Very Important Notes:
1) DO NOT FIGHT ON THE BRIDGE OR FALL OFF THE BRIDGE.
2) USE ASSIST ON THE MAIN TANK.

This first charge is important. It will help set the tone for the entire raid. Med up and get ready for next pull.

#4 The Rest of the Raid

Next pull is a piece of cake. Two FGs from the Lava Room. Once these are done move up to Lava Room and get everyone against the right wall. The Monk needs all the pulling room he can get to split the FGs up. Remember to have your tanks on the Lava side of the ledge when fighting in this room so they are bashing the FGs away from the lava. This pull is the worst pull in the raid. You can end up with 2 or 3 FG's and The Warlord Skarlon and King Tranix on a bad pull. I would recommend on a bad pull you evac. It only takes a few minutes to run back there. And there is less down time with less rezzes. On a good pull you can pull a max of 2 at a time. This splits it up very nicely. Once the King is dead you can move up to the throne room and pull the Warlord. Then Med and Buff to full again. Have the Monk pull the pathway to the moat and the moat area. Move up past the bridge and make sure you don't fall in the lava please. The next 2 pulls are rather easy. 2 FGs per pull. After the first one of these pulls have everyone move up to just before corner and pull again. This will set you up in the room where you will pull the Magi Roykll to. This is also where if Naggy is up, you might have her aggroed at any time. If you aggro her…. Camp out. Naggy can summon, and not much worse than trying to solo a dragon. Pulling the Magi when Naggy is up can be time consuming. DO NOT RUSH IT. Take your time… Even on a bad FG raid you should still have 3 hours to kill the Magi in. A three group FG raid generally doesn't have the make required for a Naggy raid. Once the Magi is pulled and dead, the raid is done until the next spawn.

#5 Randoming of the Loot
Generally I don't like to tell People how to loot, but on an FG raid, looting is important. You only have 7 minutes after the critter is dead to get the random done and the loot distributed. The fastest way to do this is to preroll the randoms. The drops are known. Each drop should be checked for what it is by the leader of the group ONLY!!! Then, since it is pre-rolled, only the person who won the random for that item should be near the body. If the item is a drop item, it should be looted by the leader of the group that got experience and given to the winner of the random. You can preroll for all the items that will drop off each pull. This speeds up the looting and the overall raid.
