There are several different hidden locations that you can find while aboard the airship. Just move the cursor to the approximate coordinates and press X to search the region. One way to do this, because it's difficult, keep moving the cursor around, and pressing X until you find the areas.

Off of the coast here, you can obtain
Rikku's Sonar.

Proceed north of the save sphere to find
Lulu's Phantom Bangle.
The secret location that is the home of a legendary fiend, more on this in the Omega Ruins Section....
