The evil dictator

There is one inside of us all
Every time you do some wrong or do nothing at all
There is the person who tells us right from wrong
Who ignores the best attempt at doing well
Who says we should do better, do better than we can
Our best just isn't good enough?  They do not understand.
They do not realise you can only push so far
They do not understand we’re stronger than they are.
They know not what if we should push back
The realisation of our strength would give them a heart attack.
If we, the few, decide what’s right
They, the many, are willing to fight
To push back the boundaries between love and hate
To realise their undying fate
To understand the need to think for ourselves
They don’t know without us, they’d be stacking shelves
To work out just how much we mean
Would be worse than destroying the telling machine
All they understand is we, the few, are more than they
If we were to die there would be no HOORAY!
There’ll be nothing but silence
Never, ending, forgetting silence.
They know this but still they make us work
Treat us like donkeys carrying their load
They all understand what this is like
And yet they continue to push us forward
Make us go farther, make us carry more, make the journey harder.
They make us do more in a day than they do in a year.
And as we go our fastest they click it up a gear
So throw off these evil dictators
Show them what we are
We, the few, are stronger by far.
