This wasn't for anything except practice and my own enjoyment. Again, this is artwork for my imaginary band, The Ameliorites. I decided to make what could be their 1st album. Anyway...here it is. Obviously, I just figured out how to use layers, and Layers Options. (specially opacity. Love it) The random wordage is basically, a couple lyrics from a real song, all of O, Canada, and some poetic stuff about color and art. (notice Color is spelt with a 'u' to signify their Canadian-ness) The painting in the middle is an actual Canadian painting. Done by one of The Group of Seven. (just learned about these guys. There were like...7 painters...who all shared a similar style, and they all knew each other. So, they became known as The Group of Seven. How neat is that?) So thats there, and I stole some pics off the net of Maple Leafs. (Canadian-ness) The album title is a small sample of a lyric from a song. The songs themselves aren't real, I just made up titles. As you can tell, they slowly get more and more ridiculous. Greasy Axel, Big Wheel. Track 16. and my fav, Colin's Greatest Hits. (Colin is in the imaginary band) What else...Oh, stole a barcode, and made up some legal mumbo jumbo to throw in the corner. looks pretty real eh? :)
For a dumb high school sports event t-shirt contest. Entered 2, both lost to an unimaginative boring design that the old farts enjoyed.
Done for fun. I play a Squier guitar and I think their logos are lame. So I made one that kicked a little more ass.
Crappy design done in an hour...but what can I say...it got me a 1,000 buck scholarship. >:)
