When I woke this morning
I could've sworn I had skin
As the day wore on,
My skin became clear
And I grew invisible.
I go about my daily routine,
Being as normal as possible
When I say hello to him,
He looks right through me
When I achieve a goal,
No one congratulates me
Now that my day is done,
Invisible tears run down
These invisible cheeks
The hunger in my invisible stomach
Is not heard by your actual ears
I sit in my corner
And ponder a few things
Am I selfish? Am I rude?
Am I annoying? Am I invisible?
Yes..
Yes..
Always..
Yes.
My name no longer matters.
I am Invisible Girl.
