Edd-The Bassist

The picture above was taken in the summer of 2000. Edd is the bassist of the band, at 17 years of age, he has been playing since March 2001, so at the point i am writting this, just over one year.Though this doesn't seem like a long time, similar to other members of the band has picked up on his instrument extremely quickly and has already reached an advanced level.He started off at the bottom, playing simple basslines like blink 182, but he soon realised there was so much more to the bass guitar than strumming the root notes repeatedly, this made him look for more challenging basslines. When practicing he mainly learns Primus songs, or anything with a difficult bassline, some including, Tommy the Cat, Is It Luck?,Welcome to this World-Primus, Coffee Shop, Around the World, Aeroplane-RHCP, Anethesia-Metallica. Though these are only a very small percentage of the songs he knows. Many people are very impressed with how good he has got in such a short time. If you hadn't already guessed Edds influences are Primus and Red Hot Chili Peppers but his recent ventures to finding the hardest bassline have taken him to Quahogs Anyone? by Stu Hamm. More recently he has also started to learn some Vic Wooten material. Now Ed and Matt are both looking into going to the music academy in guildford (ACM) to improve their skills and to hopefully make a living playing music.
