Roommate Problems

So I've been having some problems with my roommate, mainly dealing with her cats. Several times over the past couple weeks I have come home to find her cat in my living room or meowing at the door. I keep trying to confront her about this, but she is never around when I am. Finally, I had had enough and I left her a note telling her to either get rid of the cats or move out. Well, she didn't come home for two days and during that time I found BOTH her cats in the house. I didn't want them terrorizing through the place so I locked them in her room. Their dishes and liter box were in there so I didn't think there would be any problem. Unfortunately, yesterday, they start screaming. They're out of food and water. My roommate didn't leave them anything. I had already decided and issued her a thirty-day notice telling her that it was either her or the cats. So I called my mom simply to tell her what was going on. Well, my mom told me to confront her. Unfortunately she never came home, so I threw her cats outside and drafted another note telling her that they needed to leave. Well, I went off to visit a friend and when I came home, the cats were back this time locked in her bedroom. So I called my mom while I was doing the dishes and she asked for her parents number. Later that night, my mom called me back on my break to say that they had talked to her dad and he was very upset. See, to me, the cats aren't a big deal except for the fact that I could be kicked out of my house because of it! She then leaves me a four page note saying how I didn't need to call my parents and blah blah blah. Well, I'm sorry, when I'm in danger of being kicked out of my place because she has cats here and KNOWS the rules, I think that gives me every reason to call my parents.

On top of that, the PG&E bill this month was DOUBLE what it was last month. Now probably this is PARTLY because they raised the rates (like always) and partly it's because every single time I come home there are at least 3 lights on in the house. This is a big deal to me. For some reason the hum of flourecent lights bothers me, and we have one in our kitchen. Well, no matter where I am in the apartment, I can somehow hear it and it bugs the hell out of me.

Oh there are other things too, but well, I'm just too tired to write about them all. The cats is the main problem, and hopefully now she'll take care of them. The biggest thing is that she didn't tell me they were there. I guess she believes in plausable deniability. Not having known they were there, if anyone had asked I would have really been able to say that I didn't know anything about the cats. The problem with this is that I have no clue how long they have lived in her bedroom.
