Bath is a city in the southwest of Somerset. It has been around since at least dirt maybe even before that. Before the Romans came here and built their famous baths, it was an area sacred to the Celts, the hot springs were dedicated to the Goddess Sulis.

This is Bath Abbey, which was built on the site of the ancient Roman temple ( many churches were built on pre Christian sacred sites ).
You can see on either side of the door there are two ladders. These are Jacob's ladder and there are angels climbing up and down them (the next picture shows this in detail). If you look down near the doors you can see a little lady in pink, that's my mom and the lady in purple is Nana. The lady in the middle was a friend of Nana's that went on the bus trip with us.  You can also see Nicole on the far right.

This is a close-up of Jacob's Ladder. You can see that the 3rd angel from the top is unfortunately climbing down the ladder! The figure at
the top is God, apparently.
This is the interior of the Abbey. Many cathedrals and Abbeys were destroyed by the protestants during the reformation, but this one was spared, I can't remember why.
This is another view of Bath Abbey from the top of the Roman Baths. Where the people are looking down, that's where the Baths are.
