Schooling in ITE Bishan has never been any of my imagination. But still it's a stepping stone for me. It allows me to pursue the course of study that I've longed to achieve during my days in secondary school. I did badly for my GCE O level and could not pursue the course directly. With an ITE certificate, I'd probably can. It has always been my dream to be someone in-charge of organising sports events and to work under the Singapore Sports Council. I had achieved the Sports Leaders Awards when I was in Secondary Three. The award consists of two modules which we had to complete and I was among the six from my school to be sent for the challenge. Module one is a 2-day class which we had to attend on two Saturdays and schools such as Raffles Institute were also present. The other module was a project which we had to complete such as organising a school event. I took the challenge of organising the school's cross-country running. After all the events that we have all completed, a report must be handed up before we were to receive our award - a badge and a certificate. From the experience that I went through, it helps me decide what to do with my future. The best thing is for me to upgrade myself to a higher level and to achieve a diploma in Sports & Wellness. But first, I can't escape from National Service. They told me it would be miracle if I can defer from N.S. and proceed with my studies. I told them I'd still go for it, even if I'm in the Force. |
