The 2005
“Spooky Halloween
Trick-or-Treat Porch”
GAUNTLET
& SIGN PIX!!!

TWO WEEKS before Halloween,
I put SIGNS up on the East and
West sides of the large old tree
at the front of our lot.
(Just behind our mailbox.)

I don’t start putting up POSTERS on
light and sign poles around the area until
ONE WEEK before Halloween.

So, the TREE SIGNS are the
FIRST notice that folkz get,
confirming that the
SPOOKY HALLOWEEN PORCH
is a “GO” for ANOTHER year!!!

It’s difficult (almost impossible!) to get pix o’ the SPOOKY PORCH that do it JUSTICE!
In 2005, I did my best to take BOTH pix with flash, and pix without flash.
Hopefully, the comparison of FLASH & No-FLASH pix will give you a better sense
of how FANTABULOUS the SPOOKY PORCH is!!!

Construction of the SPOOKY PORCH begins several DAYZ before Halloween.
The Gauntlet NORTH BORDER SHEETS and the LIGHTS that adorn them go up …
the PUMPKINs get put on the Pumpkin Tree’s lights …
the PORCH SURROUND SHEETS & LIGHTS go up …
WEBS & SPIDERS are hung … Yada, yada, yada …
BUT! The spooky CLACKETY SHEET BARRIERS have to wait until
HALLOWEEN DAY to be installed. (They’re a real BITCH for my parents to navigate!)

SO! The pix ABOVE and BELOW were taken BEFORE the CLACKETY SHEET BARRIERS were installed.
