January 27:
Enjoying The
TEMPORARY
COCKTAIL
“DECK”

Only ONE of our deck chairs was
destroyed by the debacle. So, as the
debris was being removed, all the
chairs and cocktail tables were
put aside under the huge pine tree.

As they began to collect there,
we realized that we had
A TEMPORARY
“DECK!”

Since we were having a
Big Turkey Dinner
in honor of Steve’s surpriZe visit,
we decided to
“inaugurate” the Temp Deck!

Kim & Dave brought their chess set with them,
so that Pat could challenge Steve.

Annabeth and Annaclarice were with us.
(Drew was out of town on biz all week.)


Since the Habitat Twinkle Light tree is TOAST,
I put Twinkle Lights up on one of the surviving trees.
It doesn’t illuminate the Habitat very WELL. But, it will do for now!


It got darker and darker … but the chess game went ON and ON!
Apparently, Pat has become a very good player.


Clearly, we need a LIGHTING SYSTEM for the Temp Deck! LOL


No. Mom & Dave are not trying to “levitate” the table! It got COLDER as it got darker.
They are warming their hands with the candles!
(Okay! They’re just doing it for the PICTURE.)


Ginny was quite warm in her fur coat,
but feeling rather LEFT OUT!
