MARCH
2006:

THE DECK
Is Pretty Much
FINISHED!

It’s Bigger and Better than Before!!!
(Well … Apart from it being made of CEDAR instead of RED WOOD now!
Hence, the reason we decided that the Insurance Types should foot the bill for an ENLARGED replacement.)

Yah-HOOOO! We finally have an EXTERIOR
ENTRANCE / EXIT for the DECK!

We have to wait until the wood has “weathered” before
we can have it water-sealed or “stained”.

I still have to paint Carol’s new deck chairs a DARK (“Hunter”) GREEN.
AND figure out HOW to DYE the MESH of those chairs a DARK GREEN
without the risk of “coloring” Ray & Carol’s bottoms! – LOL

BELOW is Carol’s “INTIMATE” seating setup.
The width of the GATE represents the “EXTRA” deck space that was added.

With these few “EXTRA” feet of deck space, however, we have TONZ o’ new room!
No more SQUISHED FANDAMILY DINNER Deck Seating!!!

(OK. Some folkz may miss the LAP DANCES required by the olde space
– they’ll just have to GET OVER IT! LOL!)

Soooo … besides the water-sealing with or without staining (probably WITH)
the last DECK-related construction bitz remaining are:

Laying down a ROCK FOOT PATH from the front walk to the deck steps.
(PLUS build a “HOSE HIDE” … fix the front walkway lights … get rid of the tools and trash …
take down the X-mas lights … plant the deck flower pots … The projects just keep on comin’! LOL!)

THE REMAINING “RECONSTRUCTION” STEPS:

Getting new TREES put in.

(Carol feels far too “EXPOSED” as it is now! LOL)

Then, the MASONRY REPAIR has to happen.

And, THEN, the New HABITAT can finally be finished!
(Jean Pierre is very, very peeved that it wasn’t done by his 6th birthday, April 4th.
But the weather has been too wet for masonry, and that has to happen first.
Try explaining THAT to a Kranky KAT!)
