CHAS’ & RUBY’S 2006 UK TOUR Tuesday, May 30th: CHAS heads to THE GRAPES PUB

I had a restraint-issue-related MEETING to attend at 6 pm (or so).
Ruby decided she’d rather SHOP than accompany me to it.
(She didn’t know any of the restraint-issue-related folkz.)
So, after taking Ruby and our luggage to the Adelphi Hotel,
I dashed out the door and WALKED to the meeting place.
It was within 5 BLOCKS of the hotel Ruby HAPPENED to book us in!
Plz imagine TWILIGHT ZONE music HERE – yet, AGAIN!
(And, not for the LAST time! LOL)

The Grapes Pub is where the Beatles used to drink before and after their
historic gigs at The Cavern (which didn't sell alcohol back in those dayz)!
I’d been there before, in 2003, when I visited Carol & John in Liverpool,
and thoroughly enjoyed the place; both for its location and its ambience.

So, when selecting a LIVERPOOL place to meet with
restraint-issue-related folkz, The Grapes Pub was MY choice!

I LUV the saying at the top of this fireplace “hutch” thingy:

“If Music Be The Food Of Love – Play On!”
(Is that a BEATLES lyric? I dunno!)

I snagged the Grapes table right in front of some “French Doors” that were directly across MATTHEW STREET from the “Electric Power Substation” the Liverpool IDIOTS built after they TORE DOWN the ORIGINAL CAVERN PUB!!! NO. They tore it down AFTER the BEATLES became “famous!” They simply failed to anticipate how HUGE a TOURIST ATTRACTION Liverpool would become, ONLY because of the BEATLES’ fame.

They’ve since built a “REPLICA” of The Cavern several doors down from here.
But … it’s just NOT the SAME THING as being able to visit the REAL Cavern!

Sorry! I didn’t go into it and get pix for you.

Although several Liverpool-based UK Restraint INSTRUCTORS
were supposed to meet me at The Grapes that night, only the
RESTRAINT SURVIVOR I’d been corresponding with showed up.

JACKIE was accompanied by both of her sisters –
sisters who helped her create and perform the CONFERENCE PROGRAM
she ended up being asked to PRESENT (by UK Restraint INSTRUCTORS)
after her “SURVIVOR STORY” was posted on my website!

Soooo … Over a YEAR after our initial “electronic” Internet meeting,
Jackie and I finally MET IN THE FLESH!

As it happens, I think we had more FUN without the UK Restraint INSTRUCTORS
than we would have had were we required to include THEM in our conversations. (LOL)
So .. it was a perfectly WONDERFUL meeting!
