Wednesday, May 31st: The First Pix of Our Room In AIRTH CASTLE

After we managed to find our way to the Airth Castle “RECEPTION CENTER,”
the receptionists tried to put us into a room IN the RECEPTION CENTER –
NOT a room in the CASTLE.
WELL! We would have NONE o’ THAT!
Ruby had paid for us to be lodged IN the CASTLE …
(Plus, I think this was RUBY’S FIRST CASTLE LODGINGS, EVAH!)
Therefore, we would only accept a room IN the CASTLE!

AIRTH CASTLE was in the midst of major REMODELING and UPGRADING werkz.
But, they HAPPENED to have ONE room that was FINISHED and unassigned.
SO – Pushy-amerikan-Types-R-US! – we managed to obtain lodging
IN AIRTH CASTLE! LOL

We also asked the receptionists to send someone to drag our nasty, heavy bags
up the stairs to our Airth Castle Room. (Helleeeew! No ELEVATOR in a CASTLE!)
They sent us a tiny, OLD guy to do that!
(Evil Reception Center Bitches!)
But, we helped the old guy out. And, soon, all our stuff – AND US –
had happily arrived in OUR AIRTH CASTLE ROOM!

During Airth Castle’s major REMODELING and UPGRADING werkz, they strived to retain as much of the original (historic) bitz as they could. So, after climbing a couple flights o’ fairly “modern” stairs, we emerged into a hallway lined with a wall of original CASTLE STONE. As you can see, it was tres kool!

Our room was just around the corner from here,
then through an archway, and into a niche.

Clearly, these pix were taken before we sullied the room
by unpacking our suitcases!
