In a local rivalry, neither side emerged victors. Harling batted first, reaching 204 for 9. with Robert Free top scoring with 75. Junior Oliver Collett was the pick of the bowling with 3 for 37, while David Thomas took 3 for 39. East Harling's tail fought back, setting Garboldisham a big score. They would have probably achieved this with better light, with Paul Jolly and John Wallace starting well, putting on 80 for the first wicket. Once again, it was Rob Free that Harling relied on, taking several wickets. Steve Dunnett made 50, but Garboldisham ran out of time finishing on 180.
