Once more Garboldisham were denied victory by defensive batting. Garboldisham were made to bat first, and it was again Ian Melvin that contributed the main total with 62. The wickets steadily fell, adn the scoring rate was initially slow thanks to the tight bowling of Ian Mears and Alan Watson. A large total looked unlikely until James Worby joined Johnny Wyatt at the crease with 7 overs to go. These two put on 54, mainly off the bowling of Rob Lillwall, to push the score past 200. Gt Witchingham started well, the first pair putting on 38, but when Ernest Birch and Darryl Shailes took 4 wickets the match was effectively over. Playing out for the draw, Witchingham could only manage 142. Although James Worby took 2 wickets, the Garboldisham bowlers could not break through the defenses and Witchingham fell short by 64 runs.
