An excellent 81 by Robert Leech set up Garboldisham's first win in the Alliance. After winning the toss and deciding to bat, Leech and Ian Melvin put on 100 for the second wicket. Further contributions by John Moorhouse, 44, and James Clifford, 41, led to Garboldisham making 232 off their 46 overs. Gt Witchingham started badly, John Hogg taking a double wicket maiden to leave them at 9/3 off 4 overs. Further wicket lossed meant that Garboldisham were always looking to win. Consistent bowling by Will Dyer and Stuart Lake helped the visitors to collapse to 97 all out.
