The match started badly, when a confident John Moorhouse edged the 3rd ball over the black line to be out for 5. His opening partner, captain Charlie Worby, was to go through the innings to finish on 34 as the wickets fell around him. Mark Prior was out next, then Will Dyer and Stuart Lake while Oliver Collett was out on the last ball to leave Ketteringham Hall with full bowling points and chasing a small total. Even before the reply began, Garboldisham were on the back foot when wicket keeper John Moorhouse hurt his hand warming up. Will Dyer conceeded 10 off the first, including 4 wides, to further reduce the total required. The only Ketteringham Hall wickets both came off Oliver Collett's 1 over, including a superb catch by Charlie Worby.
