Garboldisham kept their chances of promotion alive with another convincing victory. Bowling first, Garboldisham gave away 34 extras allowing Mattishall full batting points. Stokes and Wheetman put on 80 for the 4th wicket, before the erratic Will Dyer took 4 wickets and Richard Seaman 2 to finish the 46 overs with Mattishall having scored 202. Garboldisham looked to be reaching the target comfortably, Ernest Birch scoring an impressive 52 and Ian Melvin an aggressive 36, and Mattishall were facing the unusual situation of scoring 200 and losing. Then the collapse came again, John Moorhouse and James Worby being forced to save the match with 5 an over needed. John, unusually subdued, scored at 1 a ball consistently to get a late 48, and the score was lifted from 149/5 in the 39th over to 206/6 in the 45th.
