This local derby turned into a one sided contest thanks to the efforts of a strong Riddlesworth side. Riddlesworth batted first, and set Garboldisham 177 for victory. John Stephenson scored a controlled 68, while Jamie Savage lived up to his name when he scored 41 off just 20 balls. David Thomas recovered the situation when taking 3 for 11, and on a good wicket the target did not look impossible. This was not taking into account Garboldisham's reply, which included 5 ducks. Captain Steve Dunnett made 50, and the juniors Peter Seaman and Oliver Collett pushed the scoring past 100. Excellent bowling by Ben Goodman, including a double wicket maiden, sparked the initial collapse, Goodman finishing with 4 for 11.
