Second Team
Our second team, after winning their league in 1997, found the going tough in the Alliance and finished bottom (they cannot be relegated). This year saw the introduction to competitive cricket for several new juniors, and many of them were showing promise by the end of the season. They were led by Peter Barnes, who resigned at the end of the season, the successor as yet unknown. There were some good individual performances - David Thomas took 50 wickets in the season, and with the large number of youngsters, will hope to improve in 1999.
