Walsham batted first, and secured the game with P Whiting's fast hundred, mainly off Garboldisham's spinners. Nigel Ling bought Garboldisham back in the game, with 4 wickets in 3 overs, but the total of 225/8 looked unbeatable. Garboldisham did get off to a good start, most players making contributions, including Richard Wells's first 6 for the club in 6 seasons. Unfortunately, the persistent loss of wickets put the game out of their reach. Steve Dunnett and Stefan Williams shared a large partnership, but their dismissal left the last two, Fred Southgate and Oliver Collett to successfully (and profitably) bat out the last few overs for a draw.
