Cobb Leader Weekend Camp Information Page
Volunteers:
When you arrive you will be met by our friendly staff who will take your paperwork, get you established in a cabin and welcome you with a SWAP necklace.
Facilities:
Cabins:
Each cabin contains fourteen (14) twin sized beds. (It is suggested that if you don't like a firm mattress that you bring padding)
All are wheelchair accessible.
Each person has their own coat closet and a drawer. (Bring hangers!)
Each Cabin has two showers which are shared by the other campers within that cabin.
Cabins are assigned to campers as they arrive at camp. (Campers are not allowed to sign in for other campers. If campers wish to be in a cabin together, they must arrive together although this is no guarantee.)
Campers will be given a choice of being in a cabin with:
Early Risers
Those who go to sleep and rise up early.
Night Owls
Those who like to go to sleep late and run a little late getting to breakfast.
Cold or Warmer Temperature Cabin. (Please note that the cabins are old and sometimes we have problems with air conditioning and heating which is beyond our control. This will hopefully be changed by the 2004 season.)
Dining Hall:
We will have a caterer come to camp this year!
The cooks take into consideration our campers special dietary limitations based on what information is given on the campers registration form.
Lake:
Campers are encouraged to enjoy the 260 acre lake which is located at the edge of camp.
Some campers like to bring a chair or blanket and a good book so they can sit and enjoy the view.
Campers enjoy attending the Friday night campfire sing-along which is held at the fire ring near the lake's edge.
